About Les

Les Skeet (1934-2017)

Les only starting playing golf in 1980 when he was 46, but within 5 years had managed his handicap down to an impressive 12.

He loved the sport of golf and regularly represented his company (ARC) in many corporate golf days, with the pinnacle being his win in 1988, with playing partner and best friend, Bill Nickson, of the Institute of Highways and Transportation Annual Pairs Prize at Royal Portrush, Northern Ireland.

He also won the Four Seasons Individual Golf Trophy in 1994 in the Algarve, Portugal.

Les, sadly passed away in August 2017 after a short illness and this Tournament is for three reasons.

One is in his memory from all his family, friends and people who met him during his life.  Another is to raise money for a charity close to his, and his family's hearts -The Macmillan Cancer Support.  Finally, it is a celebration of Dads everywhere who, like Les, introduced and loved to play golf with their kids.

You are all very welcome to the Tournament, we hope you have a very enjoyable game of golf at a great golf course, maybe win a thing or two and definitely help us raise lots of money for a very worthy cause!
